Remote Senior Backend Engineer - Node.JS (Romania, remote, f/m/d)

Description:

• The Senior Backend Engineer will be responsible for expanding and optimizing a digital advertisement SaaS suite of applications.
• Using technologies like NodeJS with TypeScript, federated GraphQL, Docker, AWS, and Apache Kafka.
• Designing microservices and back-end components, integrating data storage, monitoring, and protection solutions.
• Developing server-side logic, maintaining central databases and message busses, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.
• Conducting code reviews, providing guidance to team members, contributing to workload estimations, project planning, and architecture discussions.
• Joining a cross-functional team under a Product Owner to work on a multi-tenant SaaS product and ad-serving network.
• Ensuring stable, fast, and secure data exchange between servers and end-users, sharing expertise with the team.
• Envisioning, planning, developing, testing, and delivering scalable microservices in an event-driven multi-tenant architecture.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in NodeJS with TypeScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with user authentication and authorization, fundamental design principles of scalable applications, and creating database schemas.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture, message busses, and pub/sub-systems.
• Expertise in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with git, npm, docker, and Jira.
• Extensive experience in mentoring teammates.
