Description:
The Senior Backend Engineer will be responsible for expanding and optimizing a digital advertisement SaaS suite of applications using technologies like NodeJS with TypeScript, federated GraphQL, Docker, AWS, and Apache Kafka.
Designing microservices and other back-end components, integrating data storage, monitoring, and protection solutions.
Developing all server-side logic, maintaining central databases and message busses, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.
Conducting code reviews, providing guidance to team members, contributing to workload estimations, project planning, and architecture discussions.
Joining a cross-functional team under a Product Owner to work on a multi-tenant SaaS product and ad-serving network.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in NodeJS with TypeScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML5 and CSS3.
Experience with user authentication and authorization between multiple systems.
Familiarity with scalable application design principles and creating database schemas.
Good understanding of event-driven architecture, message busses, and pub/sub-systems.
Expertise in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Proficiency in git, npm, docker, and Jira.
Extensive experience in mentoring teammates.
