Remote Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript)

Description:

• Deel is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer proficient in Node.js and TypeScript to join their global team dedicated to facilitating worldwide hiring for businesses.
• The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA’s to contribute to product planning, development, and deployment stages.
• Responsibilities include developing new features, API’s, improving products, and ensuring a top-notch customer experience.
• The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, NoSQL (especially PostgreSQL and ORM libraries like Sequelize), AWS Services (S3, EKS, SNS, SQS), and serverless app architecture on AWS.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer is required, along with the ability to provide guidance on best practices and be a thought leader in the field.
• The role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications, thriving in a collaborative, remote-first work culture, and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Candidates should demonstrate a passion for solving customer problems, a business-focused approach to software development, and a commitment to delivering high-value outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of Node.js and at least one other server-side language.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript syntax.
• In-depth understanding of SQL, NoSQL (especially PostgreSQL and ORM libraries like Sequelize), AWS Services (S3, EKS, SNS, SQS), and serverless app architecture on AWS.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
