Description:
Deel is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer proficient in Node.js and TypeScript to join their global team dedicated to facilitating worldwide hiring for businesses.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QAβs to contribute to product planning, development, and deployment stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
Responsibilities include developing new features, APIβs, improving products, and ensuring a top-notch customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, expert knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript syntax, SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, ORM libraries like Sequelize, and AWS Services (S3, EKS, SNS, SQS).
Desired qualities include excelling in application design, coding, testing, embracing a remote-first work culture, taking ownership of projects, effective communication, customer problem-solving, business-focused software development, and embodying core values.
Additional brownie points for experience with SaaS products, serverless app architecture on AWS, TypeScript, distributed teams, remote work environments, and FinTech knowledge.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Expert knowledge of Node.js and at least one other server-side language.
Proficiency in JavaScript syntax.
Strong understanding of SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, and ORM libraries like Sequelize.
Familiarity with AWS Services such as S3, EKS, SNS, and SQS.
Ability to excel in collaborative, remote-first work culture.
Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
