Description:
Deel is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer proficient in Node.js and TypeScript to join their global team dedicated to facilitating worldwide hiring for businesses.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA’s to contribute to product planning, development, and deployment stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
Responsibilities include developing new features, API’s, improving products, and ensuring a top-notch customer experience.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, NoSQL (especially PostgreSQL and ORM libraries like Sequelize), AWS Services (S3, EKS, SNS, SQS), and serverless app architecture on AWS.
A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer is required, along with the ability to provide guidance on best practices and be a thought leader in the field.
Desired qualities include excelling in application design, coding, testing, and maintenance, thriving in a collaborative remote-first work culture, embracing independence, taking ownership of projects, and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:
Expert knowledge of Node.js and at least one other server-side language.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript syntax.
Strong understanding of SQL, NoSQL (especially PostgreSQL and ORM libraries like Sequelize), AWS Services (S3, EKS, SNS, SQS), and serverless app architecture on AWS.
Minimum 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Ability to advise on best practices and be a thought leader in the field.
