Description:

• Grafana Cloud is a composable observability platform that integrates metrics, logs, and traces with Grafana.
• The Observability department focuses on providing solutions to help customers monitor their infrastructure systems and software quickly.
• The team is looking to improve the Kubernetes monitoring product and is seeking passionate Backend Engineers.
• The tech stack primarily consists of services written in Go, running on multiple Kubernetes clusters leveraging Google’s Cloud Platform.
• As a Backend Engineer, you will work on the Kubernetes monitoring product and may contribute to open-source projects.
• You will collaborate with Product, UX, and Frontend engineers to create great user experiences.
• Responsibilities include influencing the roadmap, driving projects from ideation to production, and maintaining critical systems.
• You will also mentor team members, participate in design discussions, and interact with customers for feedback.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be comfortable working in a remote-first company where communication is key.

• A minimum of a couple of years of experience as a Backend developer is required.
• A good understanding of a user-centered software development process is necessary.
• Candidates should be able to transform ideas into working code, design solutions, and write prototypes independently.
• Enjoyment of working on complex solutions and valuing code maintainability, readability, and automation is important.
• Ability to troubleshoot modern web application issues and work with profilers, debuggers, bundlers, and testing libraries is required.
• Experience with Kubernetes is a must, and familiarity with Linux and Prometheus is advantageous.
