They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in PHP and Laravel to join their development team.
The position is full-time and can be performed remotely in Germany or at their headquarters in Schwerin.
Responsibilities include ensuring stable operation and continuous development of the backend, developing and implementing new features with automated tests, refactoring existing code, fixing bugs, maintaining technical documentation, ensuring code quality through reviews and pair programming, collaborating closely with other developers, and managing the RESTful API.

Requirements:

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification is required.
Several years of experience in backend development with PHP and Laravel is necessary.
Solid knowledge in the deployment, maintenance, and documentation of RESTful APIs is essential.
Experience with unit and HTTP testing is required.
Strong skills in relational databases, preferably MariaDB, are needed.
A passion for clean code and scalable software architecture is important.
Proficiency in Git is required.
Very good German language skills, both written and spoken, are necessary.
Bonus skills include experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, knowledge of GitLab CI/CD and Docker, and expertise in project and requirements management.
