Remote Senior Backend Engineer - Portugal

Description:

• Aircall is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their remote EMEA team.
• The role involves the design, development, deployment, and operation of business-critical features that enhance customer value on top of voice technology.
• Responsibilities include participating in requirements analysis, designing and delivering key modules, writing clean scalable code, and debugging existing code.
• The engineer will be part of an organization focused on delivering high-quality, secure voice solutions and will be involved in product and platform performance optimization.
• Participation in an on-call rotation to address critical system issues is required.
• Mentoring team members is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 6+ years of experience in back-end development using a large-scale, typed language, with a focus on Typescript.
• Extensive experience with AWS in a production environment is required, along with the ability to design and deploy effectively on AWS.
• Candidates should be knowledgeable about AWS offerings and able to explain them to junior engineers.
• Experience with serverless services and infrastructure as code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform is necessary.
• A strong focus on security in all aspects of development is essential.
• Experience with GraphQL is considered a significant plus.
