Ubiminds is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer focused on Python to join a small team building a new product suite for Public Safety.
The role involves writing clean, efficient, and scalable Python code to enhance the client's services platform.
Responsibilities include developing, testing, and maintaining backend code using Python and Django, ensuring high performance and reliability.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers and product managers, to define and implement new features.
Participation in code reviews is expected, providing constructive feedback to peers and fostering a collaborative environment.
The engineer will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimizing performance and ensuring platform reliability.
The role also involves helping to define and evolve the domain model to expand service offerings and staying updated with emerging trends and technologies in software development.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of experience developing backend systems in a production environment is mandatory.
Proficiency in Python with extensive experience in Django is required.
A solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and domain modeling is necessary.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including those across different regions, is essential.
Nice to have: Experience with cloud environments and managing cloud-based deployments.
Familiarity with Scrum and Kanban methodologies is a plus.
Knowledge of RESTful API principles and database design is also beneficial.
