Description:
Join Checkly as a Senior Backend Engineer and be part of the Monitoring as Code (MaC) movement.
The position is fully remote, with an async-first approach, and requires working within time zones of GMT +/- 3 hours.
The company is a remote-first startup focused on enabling developers to detect and resolve issues faster with code-first synthetic monitoring.
The backend runs on Hapi.js and an AWS-based monitoring infrastructure, processing around 4000 API and Browser checks per minute.
You will help build out new features and expand existing ones, working on scaling the backend platform to meet business demands.

Requirements:
You must have deep experience in building applications in a professional product (SaaS) environment, ideally with JavaScript / Node.js.
A strong desire to have a business impact and the visibility that comes with working in a startup is essential.

Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English are required, along with the ability to assume good intentions.
You must be autonomous and self-motivated in a remote work environment while also being open to collaborating with colleagues.
A quick learner who enjoys the process of learning new things is preferred.
You should have a passion for software development.
