Description:

The position is for a Senior Backend Engineer at Puzzle, a company delivering innovative technology solutions to various industries.
The role is remote and targeted at candidates located in Latin America.
You will work with the existing engineering team to contribute to the direction of the project and team.
The team is focused on building a backend for user-facing products and will involve understanding and analyzing technical problems and performance issues.
You will assist with legacy migrations and need to troubleshoot data-intensive systems.
The primary task will be the migration of a complex backend code from Python to Golang, estimated to take about two years.
Candidates should apply only if they are interested in large-scale migration.

Requirements:

A strong understanding of system design, particularly focusing on latency and scalability.
Proficiency in development, specifically in Python and Go, as the team is migrating endpoints from Python to Go.
Skills in testing, SOLID principles, and design patterns are essential.
Experience with systems architecture, including Kubernetes, AWS, and Postgres, as well as familiarity with Redis.
Ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering teams to execute product and business strategies.
Effective communication skills are necessary for collaboration within the team and across disciplines.
Experience working closely with product managers and designers to create compelling user experiences.
Participation in product reviews and team meetings to provide technical insights is expected.
Ability to help scope, estimate, and prioritize tasks amidst conflicting needs.
