Remote Senior Backend Engineer (Ruby) - Rails

Description:

• As a Senior Backend Engineer (Ruby), you will leverage your deep experience in backend development to design, implement, maintain, and scale critical systems using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional global teams to build solutions that are robust, efficient, and impactful.
• Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining backend systems and services using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• You will design and implement APIs to support seamless integrations with frontend applications.
• Optimizing applications for high performance and scalability will be a key part of your role.
• You will conduct code reviews and automate testing to ensure code quality.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex technical issues will be essential tasks.
• You will collaborate with teams to devise solutions that align with the overall technical roadmap.
• Participation in architectural design discussions and contributing to decision-making processes will be expected.

Requirements:

• You must have 8+ years of backend development experience with a strong focus on Ruby.
• Deep experience with Ruby on Rails and relational database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) is required.
• An excellent understanding of object-oriented principles and design patterns is necessary.
• Strong experience with Linux environments (Ubuntu, Fedora) is essential.
• Effective problem-solving skills and adaptability in remote-friendly teams are required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for seamless collaboration are necessary.
