Description:
As a Senior Backend Engineer (Ruby), you will leverage your deep experience in backend development to design, implement, maintain, and scale critical systems using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
You will collaborate with cross-functional global teams to build solutions that are robust, efficient, and impactful.
Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining backend systems and services using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
You will design and implement APIs to support seamless integrations with frontend applications.
Optimizing applications for high performance and scalability will be a key part of your role.
You will conduct code reviews and automate testing to ensure code quality.
Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex technical issues will be essential tasks.
You will collaborate with teams to devise solutions that align with the overall technical roadmap.
Participation in architectural design discussions and contributing to decision-making processes will be expected.
Requirements:
You must have 8+ years of backend development experience with a strong focus on Ruby.
Deep experience with Ruby on Rails and relational database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) is required.
An excellent understanding of object-oriented principles and design patterns is necessary.
Strong experience with Linux environments (Ubuntu, Fedora) is essential.
Effective problem-solving skills and adaptability in remote-friendly teams are required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for seamless collaboration are necessary.
