The Senior Backend Engineer for Subreddit Success at Reddit will work collaboratively with product, design, and other engineering teams to develop innovative products and features that enhance user experience.

Requirements:
5+ years of professional software development experience in languages like Go, Python, Java, C++, Rust, etc.
Proficiency in GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift or gRPC basics, and designing maintainable APIs.
Experience in maintaining and optimizing high traffic backend systems, including familiarity with Kubernetes scaling and troubleshooting infrastructure issues.
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and keep projects on schedule.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias towards action, innovation, and building new things in fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with remote teams and discussing complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
