Remote Senior Backend Engineer, Subscriber Data Platform at Postscript

Description:

As a Senior Backend Engineer for the Data Platform team at Postscript, you will be responsible for creating top-notch data foundations to support various engineering and product initiatives.
The Data Platform team focuses on integrating data from different sources like the production application and third-party integrations.
Your role will involve designing and constructing end-to-end data pipeline solutions, including data ingestion, propagation, persistence, and services to support both the product and internal BI organization.
You will play a critical role in ensuring that data and events are reliable and actionable across the Postscript Platform.

Must be a polyglot technologist with a strong interest in data challenges at scale.
Should have a proven track record of designing and implementing complex data systems from scratch.
Experience in building data engineering solutions in an AWS environment and familiarity with various AWS services like Lambda, Redshift, Glue, RDS, DMS, etc.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in writing high-quality production code, preferably in Python or Go.
Broad experience with data persistence technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL, OLAP, etc.) and the ability to choose the right tool for the task.
Proficiency in event-driven systems and exposure to technologies like Kafka, Kinesis, RabbitMQ, etc.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure and infrastructure as code technologies like Terraform.
Comfortable with ambiguity and enjoys problem-solving as much as creating solutions.

Salary range of USD $170,000-$190,000 base plus significant equity (no geo-based salaries).
