Description:
Webflow is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Subscriptions & Payments team, responsible for enhancing payment systems for enterprise-level and self-serve products.
The role involves leading and executing strategic projects to augment and scale backend services, focusing on Subscriptions, Plan Management, and integration with Stripe.
Responsibilities include working on low latency API for entitlement services, payment APIs, taxation/compliance systems, and expanding payment offerings and pricing experimentation.
The position aims to build strong pricing and packaging foundations for Webflow to support product led growth (PLG) and enterprise business growth.
The role offers opportunities to architect, design, and implement scalable backend services, build high-volume APIs, improve integrations with partners like Stripe, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
The Senior Backend Engineer will also mentor other engineers on best practices, code design considerations, and quality.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in scalable, multi-tenant environments.
2+ years of experience leading projects, including scoping and breaking down work.
Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript, MongoDB, and Node.
Strong value for testing and documentation alongside code.
Comfortable with ambiguity and scoping solutions collaboratively.
Ability to communicate trade-offs throughout a project to meet technical and business requirements.
Enthusiasm for encouraging and developing other engineers.
