Remote Senior Backend Engineer (Systems Squad)

Description:

• The Senior Backend Engineer in the Systems Squad at NordPass is responsible for ensuring stable, reliable, and fast cloud data storage for secure data synchronization between all NordPass applications and web-based systems.
• The role involves encrypting, handling, and synchronizing data between frontend applications and the cloud through a background application on clients' computers.
• The team operates democratically, valuing input from all members to achieve the best results and maintain code quality.
• Responsibilities include writing well-tested code, creating useful APIs, contributing to technical decisions and architecture, participating in incident solving, and more.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of web development experience.
• 3+ years of experience with PHP and its frameworks (Symfony, Slim) or Golang.
• Understanding of modern software design principles and good code design.
• Experience in building distributed systems and familiarity with system design patterns.
• Proficiency in Relational DB and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git and Jira.
