Description:

• ClickUp is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help build their flagship product, Tasks.
• The role involves owning the APIs that form the backbone of ClickUp, allowing for a significant impact on the product.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience engineering performant and high-throughput systems, ideally using Node.js.
• Proficiency in writing high-quality code, preferably in TypeScript, is essential.
• A proven track record of building performant, high-throughput systems is necessary.
• Experience in writing and debugging SQL queries at scale is required.
• Candidates should have experience developing event-based systems and familiarity with major cloud services, ideally AWS.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity while delivering projects with minimal direction are important.
• A product-minded approach with a good intuition for user experience is expected.
