Description:

  • The Senior Backend Software Engineer will collaborate with Product Management and Design to enhance healthcare experiences for members and clinicians.
  • Responsibilities include working on a healthcare app with features like personalized Provider matching, 24/7 Telemedicine+, Expert opinions, and medical claims advocacy.
  • The role involves leading the development of products in a fast, accessible, and intuitive manner.
  • The engineer will partner with Product and Design teams on application design, user experience, developer workflows, deployment strategies, and testing.
  • Tasks include technical planning for member experience improvements, contributing across the full stack of web technology, designing systems for clean data flow, and owning the development of certain Treat features.
  • The engineer will address issues promptly, identify technical debt, influence roadmap plans, participate in technical decisions, and promote software engineering best practices.
  • Technologies used include Python, Golang, React, TypeScript, NextJS, GraphQL, Django, HL7, FHIR, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills using first-principles thinking.
  • Ability to become a subject matter expert in code, demonstrate strong product ownership, and engage in technical debates.
  • Professional experience in building and maintaining consumer-grade web applications (suggested 6+ years).
  • Strong understanding of full-stack web development, modern frontend frameworks, APIs, and backend services.
  • Proficient programming skills, CS fundamentals, and a track record of implementing highly reliable software.
  • Continuous learning mindset, openness to feedback, and eagerness to grow technically and non-technically.
