Description:

  • Blue Coding is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to work remotely from Latin America.
  • The role involves developing and maintaining systems in enterprise data and analytics environments for a US client in the life insurance sector.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, designing and deploying software products using AWS, and developing data migration and management tools.
  • The engineer will write clean, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and work with QA engineers to ensure high software quality.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging software issues, staying updated with emerging technologies, and mentoring junior engineers are also key aspects of the role.
  • The company promotes a flexible work environment, allowing employees to work from anywhere in the listed countries.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have over 6 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure is necessary.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript is required.
  • Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases is essential.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, Git, and CI/CD pipelines is needed.
  • Candidates should have experience building full-stack, enterprise-class applications with a focus on quality and reliability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team are required.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
