Description:

• ClickUp is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Views Squad in Poland.
• The Views Squad is responsible for building and optimizing tier 1 services that are central to ClickUp’s productivity platform.
• The role involves developing features and systems with a focus on detail and performance.
• Engineers will own the end-to-end development process, from conception to production.
• Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders is essential to deliver a world-class product.

• Key technologies used include Typescript, Postgres, Kafka, and NestJS running on EKS in AWS.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in engineering performant and high-throughput systems, ideally using Node.js in Typescript.
• Exceptional productivity is a must.
• A proven track record of building performant, high-throughput systems is required.
• Experience in writing and debugging complex SQL queries at scale is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience developing event-based systems.
• Familiarity with AWS, particularly EKS, is required.
• Strong communication skills and empathy as a coworker are essential.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects is necessary.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a history of delivering projects with minimal direction is required.
• A product-minded approach with a good intuition for user experience is essential.
