Description:

  • Webflow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build workflows for teams working on projects in Webflow and to create next-generation publishing experiences.
  • This is a remote-first position available to candidates in the United States and British Columbia & Ontario, Canada.
  • The role is full-time, permanent, and exempt.
  • The cash compensation is based on geographic market zones, with specific salary ranges for the United States and Canada.
  • The role includes participation in Webflow's company-wide bonus program, which is based on company performance.
  • The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Senior Engineering Manager.
  • Responsibilities include architecting, designing, and implementing scalable multi-tenant backend services and APIs.
  • The engineer will work with technologies such as Node.js, Javascript/Typescript, MongoDB, GraphQL, Apollo, and AWS.
  • The role requires producing maintainable, tested, performant, and scalable code, as well as building and maintaining unit and integration tests.
  • The engineer will collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and designers in a supportive team environment and mentor other engineers.
  • Participation in engineering citizenship activities is expected, such as co-authoring engineering blogs and leading internal hackathon teams.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience developing and deploying complex web applications with a proven track record of shipping quality code.
  • Familiarity with Node.js and TypeScript is required, along with the ability to write scalable services and APIs using Express.js, GraphQL, Apollo, and MongoDB.
  • Candidates should be able to debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Playwright, and Cypress is necessary.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in an agile environment and clarifying ambiguous requirements to design well-scoped solutions.
