Description:

Holycode is seeking an experienced Senior Backend (Python/Django) Engineer to join the Splint Invest team.
Splint Invest is a FinTech mobile app that aims to empower users' financial journeys through technology.
The role involves building and scaling the backend of the FinTech mobile application using Python/Django.
Responsibilities include owning and running the platform from development and deployment to monitoring and incident management.
The engineer will drive architecture decisions and lead solution discovery across the engineering team.
Close collaboration with DevOps is required to handle releases, migrations, infrastructure scaling, and security.
The position includes leading integrations with external services such as payment providers and KYC/EMI providers.
The engineer will conduct code reviews, participate in design discussions, and enforce engineering best practices.
Mentoring and supporting other engineers as a lead-by-example team player is also expected.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6+ years of backend development experience, with deep knowledge of Python/Django.
A minimum of 2+ years of informal or formal experience mentoring other developers is preferred but not mandatory.
A solid grasp of DevOps processes is required, with comfort in owning infrastructure and deployments.
Strong understanding of databases (PostgreSQL), REST APIs, system design, and security best practices is essential.
Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams, ideally in a startup or scale-up environment, is necessary.
A proactive, structured, and self-managed work style is expected; candidates should not wait for tasks to be assigned.
Fluency in English and excellent communication skills across both technical and non-technical teams are required.
