Remote Senior Backend Software Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Backend Software Engineer position at PlayVS involves leading the design and implementation of new and complex software features, GraphQL APIs, and backend systems for the platform.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to turn product concepts into reality.
• Working closely with other engineers to develop new features, APIs, improvements, and fixes for scalability and performance.
• Troubleshooting production issues and implementing effective solutions.

• Contributing to a strong engineering culture by writing clean, maintainable code, reviewing code from others, and improving test coverage.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in product development with a successful track record of building and delivering software products emphasizing performance and scalability.
• Thorough understanding of Node.js and its core principles.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and its application in large-scale development.
• Experience with GraphQL and Apollo frameworks.
• Strong desire to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams (excellent proficiency or fluency in English).
