The Senior Backend Software Engineer role is crucial for developing and scaling backend database systems, connecting new data microservices, and supporting the core infrastructure of the platform.
Responsibilities include leading the development of scalable backend systems, designing robust backend architectures, optimizing performance, maintaining code quality, collaborating with team members, researching new technologies, and taking ownership of software solutions.
The role also involves defining application requirements, developing and customizing applications, providing technical training, participating in design sessions, and engaging in sprint planning and backlog management.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, along with 4-6 years of experience in backend development.
Strong experience in designing and developing scalable backend systems, particularly with MongoDB and GCP or AWS, is essential.
Candidates must have an in-depth understanding of different content schemas (structured, semi-structured, unstructured) and their implications on database design and performance.
A solid foundation in Identity and Access Management principles is necessary, with the ability to implement secure access controls and data protection measures.
Proven ability to architect high-performance systems that are scalable and reliable is required.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and optimization are essential.
Strong communication skills are necessary to convey complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in a collaborative development environment with a track record of successful project delivery is required.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of CI/CD practices, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture, as well as a proactive attitude towards challenges and a passion for learning new technologies.
