Engineers at Bitwise act as their own product managers, setting priorities, defining timelines, and delivering impactful solutions.
The role involves building backend systems in a modern monorepo using TypeScript and Node.js, redesigning and scaling the job orchestration framework, maintaining and evolving the data pipeline, collaborating directly with leadership, driving reliability and operational excellence, and contributing to the engineering culture.

Requirements:

Candidates must have over 5 years of real-world software engineering experience.
Proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as TypeScript, Python, C++, Go, or Java is required.
Experience with data pipelines, databases, and cloud platforms like Mongo, Snowflake, AWS, or Heroku is necessary.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog and Sentry, along with best CI/CD practices, is expected.
Experience designing and implementing fault-tolerant distributed systems is a plus.
Knowledge of job orchestration frameworks and DAG-based workflow systems is advantageous.
Experience with modern ETL/ELT processes and data transformation tools is a plus.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $180,000 to $200,000 a year.
