Description:

Join the AI Product & Personalization team to reduce the time scientists spend creating figures in BioRender from hours to minutes using AI.
Work closely with product, design, data science, and science experts to achieve the mission of democratizing science communication.
Build backend services and integrate with third-party systems like Algolia.
Contribute to process improvements, hiring/onboarding procedures, enhancing product quality, and optimizing the codebase.
Deliver substantial projects with high quality within 3 to 6 months.

Requirements:

Strong background in backend engineering with the ability to create high-performing APIs for handling high volumes.
Proficiency in NoSQL databases (like MongoDB) and cloud infrastructure (like AWS) to design simple, scalable, secure, and performant systems.
Experience in enhancing system maintainability for streamlined engagement by other engineers.
Data platform background is a plus.
Familiarity with JavaScript ecosystem tools (Node.js, Express.js, ReactJS) is a plus, but willingness to learn these tools and write code in TypeScript is required.
