Remote Senior Backend Software Engineer

Description:

• Collaborate with a small team of remote engineers to enhance the flagship customer-facing product at tvScientific.
• Take ownership of new features from inception to production within a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Ship high-performing and resilient APIs that adhere to industry standards.
• Maintain a high standard of quality across the codebase by advocating for cleanliness, readability, speed, testability, and documentation.
• Continuously improve the engineering process to build a world-class team.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience working with Python backends, ideally Django.
• Exceptional remote communication skills, especially in writing.
• Ability to work autonomously in a startup environment and thrive under pressure.
• Proven production experience working with a relational database, preferably MySQL.
• Rigorous approach to software quality with a preference for writing tests.
• Knack for learning new technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for crafting reliable web applications.
• Computer Science degree or equivalent.
