The role of Senior Backend Engineer involves designing, building, and scaling backend systems that power the product.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining scalable backend systems, modernizing the legacy codebase, ensuring scalability and reliability, leveraging AWS expertise, improving documentation, and collaborating with engineering leads and junior developers.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience building and shipping high-quality backend systems.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure such as AWS/Azure/GCP and 2+ years of experience with Github Actions/Terraform/Cloudformation/Ansible is necessary.
Candidates should have 6+ years of experience in strongly typed languages such as C#/TypeScript/C++.
At least 2 years of experience in Docker and 2 years of experience with ETL pipelines is required.
Experience with GraphQL is also necessary.
Nice-to-have skills include experience with video processing tools like FFMPEG, Kubernetes, and legacy systems migration to modern systems.
