Remote Senior Backend Software Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Backend Software Engineer will be responsible for building a product used by cities, counties, and citizens across the United States, impacting government staff and citizens directly.
• The role involves working in an underserved industry to provide effective and transparent government services.

• Technical challenges include building a workflow management system, a document review experience, a document generation system, and a payments experience for government services.
• The tech stack includes RedwoodJS, React, TypeScript, NodeJS, and GraphQL.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of backend development experience.
• Extensive experience in implementing backend features like business logic, reducing technical debt, scalability and performance optimization, security enhancements, and integration with third-party services.
• Strong product mindset with a focus on understanding customer journeys and responding to feedback quickly.
• Motivated by making a positive impact in the world and aligned with the company's core values.
• Nice to have: BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent, startup experience.
