Remote Senior Backend Software Engineer, Dashboard Platform

Description:

• Algolia is a fast-growing company that provides a search API used by thousands of customers globally, powering 1.5 trillion searches a year.
• The Dashboard Platform team aims to empower developers at Algolia to ship frontend features to the customer-facing Dashboard, focusing on a great and consistent customer experience at scale.
• Responsibilities include working on core features of the Algolia Dashboard, building new services for infrastructure platform deployment using Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS, and enhancing Developer Experience through tooling and guidelines.
• The role requires significant experience in a similar position, with autonomy in leading projects and planning for the company's global best interests.
• The team consists of two senior software engineers and one manager, all dedicated to improving the user experience.
• The position is open to remote work, with a preference for candidates who have experience in high-growth environments.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have good knowledge of modern infrastructure management tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform on AWS.
• Proficiency in modern web development technologies including Javascript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS is required.
• A strong commitment to high code quality, automated testing, and engineering best practices is essential.
• Candidates must demonstrate a genuine care for Developer Experience and possess well-spoken and written English skills.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in companies with over 10,000 customers and in the $50-200M ARR range.
• Experience with Go and Ruby on Rails is considered a nice-to-have.
