Description:

• Wellhub (formerly Gympass) is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join the BASE Focus Area, Tagus Partner Team in Brazil.
• The Tagus team is responsible for building a scalable platform to support millions of active users, clients, and partners worldwide.
• Key challenges include creating a flexible system for different commercial conditions and managing critical business flows like subscriptions and data provision.
• The role involves developing highly scalable solutions, handling large data volumes, and focusing on high availability.
• You will have the opportunity to influence architecture decisions impacting the microservices ecosystem and develop leadership and technical skills.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in managing and mentoring multidisciplinary software engineering teams.
• Proficiency in architecting large-scale web applications and designing complex modern web applications.
• Familiarity with Cloud-based architectures (AWS / GCP) and RESTful web services.
• Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithm design, and problem-solving.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Kotlin/Java/Ruby/Go/C++), with Golang considered a plus.
• Ability to communicate and present ideas and solutions in English.
