Description:

  • Employment Hero is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer (.NET) to join their Platform and Payroll team.
  • The role involves migrating a Windows-based .NET Framework monolith to a Linux-based containerized modular .NET Core system.
  • Responsibilities include working on the technology roadmap, designing solutions, new feature development, debugging, root cause analysis, and quality checks.
  • The position requires proactive identification of application pain points, suggesting mitigation strategies, and recommending improvements to the development process.
  • The Senior Software Engineer will also maintain documentation, provide training, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a .NET Software Development Engineer, particularly for a cloud-based SaaS.
  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, and SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with microservices or SOA architecture for deployment on public clouds, preferably AWS.
  • Good understanding of database concepts and experience with relational databases like MS SQL.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, quality coding practices, and English language proficiency.
  • Preferred experience with Knockout, VueJS, ReactJS, Payroll or financial services domain, mentoring teammates, and AWS tooling.
