Remote Senior Backend Software Engineer (Seattle, West Remote)

Description:

• Fiddler is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their Seattle Engineering Team, with options for remote work.
• The company focuses on building trust in AI by creating transparent and explainable AI solutions.
• The role involves designing and building a cloud platform for enterprises to monitor and analyze their machine learning models, including predictive and generative models.
• Responsibilities include designing scalable APIs and frameworks, developing new metrics for ML model quality, and collaborating with product and customer-facing teams to enhance the product.
• The engineer will also recommend engineering best practices and ensure software quality standards are met.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Master's degree with no experience or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Python is required.
• Experience working with machine learning models in production is necessary, along with familiarity with common LLM frameworks such as Langchain, Llamaindex, RAG, HuggingFace, and evaluation frameworks like Ragas or Presidio.
• Candidates should have experience debugging and troubleshooting production systems, including on-call support experience.
• Familiarity with distributed systems infrastructure such as Redis, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Celery, and Flask is required.
• Knowledge of infrastructure management (AWS/Google Cloud, Kubernetes, or equivalent on-premises technologies) is a plus.
• Experience in building large-scale distributed systems and working with columnar and vector databases is also a nice-to-have.
• Candidates should preferably be located near Seattle or on the West Coast.

Benefits:

• The pay range for this position in Seattle is between $130,000 and $210,000, depending on experience, location, and other job-related factors.
