Description:

  • Wellhub (formerly Gympass) is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join the Wellbeing Access team in Portugal.
  • The role involves working within the CIA (Client Innovation Area) Focus Area to establish and maintain a platform that integrates benefits and services for employees worldwide.
  • As part of the Wellbeing Access Squad, you will focus on simplifying the employees' signup experience and collaborating with developers, a product manager, and a UX designer to enhance client experience.
  • Responsibilities include defining system architecture, supporting existing systems, writing maintainable code and tests, participating in incident resolution, and mentoring other developers.
  • The role offers an opportunity to contribute to the technical and business evolution of the platform and emphasizes the importance of wellbeing in the workplace.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in designing and developing modern web applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Golang (Golang and Kotlin considered a plus).
  • Openness to new experiences and continuous learning within an agile environment.
  • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithm design, and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
  • Belief in automation practices such as tests, CI/CD, etc.
  • Good communication skills in English and Portuguese.
