Description:

  • Seeking a talented, experienced, and enthusiastic Senior Back End Developer to work with a variety of clients across different industries using WordPress plugins.
  • Think Zap is a digital design and marketing agency in Glasgow, Scotland, focusing on turning screens into brand showcases.
  • Responsibilities include researching and developing new back-end offerings, testing functionality thoroughly, collaborating with other teams, building integrations with external applications, and more.
  • The role involves 60% Back End Development, 30% Testing / Quality Assurance, and 10% Front End Development.

Requirements:

  • Expert understanding of WordPress functionality, including building bespoke plugins, working with WP-CRON, transients, caching, and query optimization.
  • Proven track record of creating scalable, high-traffic websites using WordPress and WooCommerce.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, JS, MySQL, Rest APIs, web development cycle, and programming techniques.
  • Proficiency in GIT-based workflows and implementing them into a system.
  • Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and strong communication skills.

Benefits:

  • Salary between £40,000 - £70,000, negotiable based on experience.
  • Company Bonus of 10% of salary upon meeting company goals.
