Description:

Keeper is seeking a Senior Backend/DevOps Engineer to join their team in New York or work remotely.
The role involves shipping software on a weekly basis and coding extensively in TypeScript.
The engineer will play a key role in shaping the architecture, improving developer experience, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of systems.
Responsibilities include contributing to the development and improvement of APIs and services, as well as refactoring and modernizing legacy code.
The engineer will own and evolve CI/CD pipelines, focusing on GitHub Actions and automation best practices.
The role also includes optimizing performance and managing complex JSONB columns in the RDS database, including normalization and efficient querying.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience architecting and building backend systems with Node.js and TypeScript.
A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS is required, with a proven track record of designing and operating cloud-native architectures.
Strong experience in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitHub Actions, is essential.
A proactive mindset with a passion for clean code, automation, and system reliability is necessary.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor others and lead by example are required.
