Description:
Sotheby’s is seeking a Senior BI Analyst to join their Data & Analytics team to enhance data-driven decision making across the company.
The role involves understanding business requirements from various stakeholders and planning solutions to address data needs.
Responsibilities include collecting, refining, and preparing data for analytics and visualization.
The analyst will develop, design, and maintain Tableau dashboards and analytics.
The position requires defining new KPIs and analyzing them to provide actionable recommendations.
The analyst will present findings to business leaders in both ad-hoc forums and routine business reviews to support strategic decision making.
Identifying new data functionalities or enhancements to improve decision making and business growth is also a key responsibility.
The role includes solving data or performance issues related to workbooks and data sources.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree is required for this position.
Candidates should have 3-5 years of relevant work experience, including SQL and conducting large-scale data analyses to support business decision making.
Experience working with both structured and unstructured data, as well as joining large and complex data sets, is necessary.
Applicants should have 3-5 years of experience in all phases of the BI lifecycle in a Tableau environment, including dashboard design, development, testing, implementation, and post-production support.
Strong experience with data preparation for reporting, including data profiling, data cleansing, volume assessment, and partitioning, is required, along with ETL and data modeling skills (both relational and dimensional).
The ability to transition between high-level architectural review/design and hands-on project delivery is essential.
Proficiency in Excel, SQL (DBT), and Tableau is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with a professional and responsive demeanor.
Benefits:
The proposed base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000.
Successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus in addition to the base salary.
A competitive benefits package is also offered to successful candidates.
Salary offers are determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and applicable licensure or certifications.
