Remote Senior BI Engineer

Description:

• As a Senior BI Engineer at JustAnswer, you will play a crucial role in building and optimizing the Business Intelligence (BI) infrastructure.
• You will enable the generation of data-driven insights that are essential for business decisions.
• Your responsibilities will include leveraging advanced SQL and ETL expertise, designing efficient data models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create impactful BI solutions.
• You will design and implement optimized database structures to facilitate fast and efficient data querying and analysis.
• You will develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure smooth data integration from multiple sources and support business reporting.
• You will build and enhance BI reporting applications using leading BI dashboarding platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• You will utilize functional and object-oriented programming languages to support data processing, automation, and complex data transformations.
• You will execute the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for BI solutions, ensuring high quality, scalability, and data integrity.
• You will work collaboratively with analysts, engineers, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• You will follow Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) for efficient project execution and continuous improvement.
• You will write, conduct, and maintain automated tests to ensure data quality and system reliability.
• You will troubleshoot, debug, and optimize BI solutions to maintain performance and usability.
• You will document and maintain data catalogs, best practices, and technical documentation for the BI team.

Requirements:

• You must have 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
• You should have proven expertise in SQL with the ability to design efficient and complex queries.
• A strong background in data analysis and a demonstrated ability to derive insights from complex datasets is required.
• You must have extensive experience building ETLs to integrate and manage data from diverse sources.
• Proficiency with BI dashboarding platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) to develop and manage visual reports is necessary.
• Experience with functional and object-oriented programming languages like Python, .NET (C#), or JavaScript is required.
• You should possess strong problem-solving skills for complex data challenges and a creative approach to data solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders are essential.
