Remote Senior Big Data Engineer (4+ years of experience)

Description:

• The Senior Big Data Engineer will collaborate with the Business Analytics & Insights (BAI) team to deliver data solutions in various areas such as Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Customer Experience, HR, Risk Management, and Global IT.
• Responsibilities include leading technical planning for data migration using Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake, designing and implementing scalable data pipelines with Azure Databricks, developing reusable frameworks for large dataset ingestion, ensuring data quality and integrity, working with event-based/streaming technologies, providing technical support, and staying updated on cloud computing and data engineering technologies.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of IT experience.
• Minimum of 4 years working with Azure Databricks.
• Proficiency in Data Modeling and Source System Analysis.
• Strong knowledge of PySpark and SQL.
• Experience with Azure components: Data Factory, Data Lake, SQL Data Warehouse (DW), and Azure SQL.
• Experience with Python for data engineering purposes.
• Ability to conduct data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for technical design and construction of data flows.
• Familiarity with data visualization/exploration tools.
• Technical leadership skills, problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication skills, strong team player, and ability to deliver high-quality results within specified timelines.
