Remote Senior Big Data Engineer

Description:

• The role is for a Senior Big Data Engineer with a focus on development experience in Python or Scala, Spark, and Cloud.
• You will be involved in projects from the initial stages of client engagement, understanding business needs to propose the most suitable technical solution.
• You will develop projects from scratch with minimal supervision and collaborate with the team.
• Participation in the design of architectures and decision-making in a constructive environment with co-creation dynamics is expected.
• You will be a key player in developing best practices, clean, and reusable code.
• You will develop ETLs using Spark (Python/Scala).
• You will work on cloud projects (Azure/AWS).
• You will build scalable pipelines using various technologies.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in software/data engineering is required.
• Experience in architecture design is necessary.
• Solid experience in Python or Scala and Spark for processing large volumes of data is essential.
• Strong experience in Cloud (Azure or AWS) is required.
• Experience in creating data pipelines (CI/CD) is necessary.
• Experience in testing (unit, integration, etc.) is required.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI) will be positively valued.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Fabric will be positively valued.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) will be positively valued.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases is required.
• A good level of English is essential.
• Being a team player is necessary.
