Description:
The Senior Business Analyst position at Common App involves providing insights on market trends, themes, and competitors to inform product management, product positioning, and Constituent Engagement.
The role requires partnering with product leaders and the Data Analytics and Research team to develop standard analyses and metrics for Common Application products and services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for consulting on business decisions based on the results of analyses and will contribute to bringing greater equity in the college planning and admissions process.
The Senior Business Analyst will work towards the mission of promoting access, equity, and integrity in the college admissions process for all students, with a goal of closing the equity gap by 2030.
Requirements:
Candidates must live in the United States.
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, or other business disciplines; or equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
4-6 years of proven business analysis experience in Strategy, Finance, Business Operations, or Sales Strategy & Operations is necessary.
Proficiency in Excel/ Google sheets and experience with Tableau Desktop are essential.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills are required.
The ideal candidate should have demonstrated resourcefulness, ability to devise creative solutions to problems, and influence stakeholders.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is a must.
Strong curiosity for data, experience in creating, implementing, and routinizing reporting, and skilled at constructing executive-level presentations are important qualities.
Additional preferred qualifications include experience with Tableau Server, Salesforce.com reports, management consulting, marketing/digital marketing research, and analyzing demand generation efforts in higher education.

Common App offers a competitive salary with a target hiring range of $115,000-121,000.
