Description:
As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a key role in driving the company's data strategy forward.
You will collaborate with stakeholders across the company to uncover business priorities, translate them into analytical needs, and deliver insights that fuel impactful decisions.
Your efforts will ensure that data is accurate, accessible, and aligned with strategic goals.
You will enable teams with self-service tools and prepare data for advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
You will produce actionable BI analytics to inform strategic decisions, focusing on aligning insights to key business priorities and metrics.
You will partner with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
You will build dashboards, visualizations, and reporting tools that provide clarity and visibility into business performance.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into clear data requirements and actionable insights.
You will regularly review and refine BI initiatives to ensure they address evolving business objectives.
You will collaborate with data engineering to maintain and optimize transformation models, ensuring clean, well-structured data in the data lake.
You will leverage tools like Databricks to process and analyze large datasets effectively.
You will work closely with data science to prepare data for machine learning, including feature engineering and preprocessing.
You will integrate machine learning outputs into BI tools and workflows, enabling stakeholders to use advanced analytics in decision-making.
You will develop and execute rigorous QA processes to validate the accuracy and reliability of data from both external and internal sources.
You will act as a strategic partner to leadership by providing data-driven recommendations that impact company goals.
You will participate in roadmap planning to ensure BI initiatives align with the broader company strategy.
You will establish and enforce best practices for data management, reporting, and analysis across the organization.
Requirements:
You must have 5+ years of relevant professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related role, with a focus on aligning analytics with business goals.
You should have a proven track record of producing insights that have directly impacted business outcomes.
Strong expertise in BI tools and data manipulation languages (e.g., SQL, Python) is required.
You must have experience working with data lakes, data transformation models, and large-scale data processing tools (e.g., Spark, Databricks).
Familiarity with machine learning workflows and integrating ML outputs into decision-making processes is necessary.
You should have experience building, managing, and scaling complex data pipelines from internal and external sources to map to data warehouse schema.
You must support data process automation workflows to improve the effectiveness of stakeholders' analytics processes with various internal and external data sources.
The ability to work backward from business requirements to develop analytical solutions is essential.
Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
You should have hands-on experience establishing processes, building out infrastructure, and identifying opportunities to drive self-service analytics to support a scaling business.
You must be a true self-starter who identifies needs, writes accessible documentation, and takes ownership over analytic products with stakeholder input.
Nice to haves:
Experience in the travel or e-commerce industry is a plus.
Experience at a subscription company is desirable.
Experience working with flight data is beneficial.
Some experience in the data engineering stack (i.e., AWS, Iceberg, dbt, Spark, Starburst (Trino), Airflow, and Databricks) is advantageous.

The salary for this role is $145,000 plus equity.
