Remote Senior C Developer (Remote)

Description:

• An international company specializing in the development of modern operating systems for hosting providers is looking for a Senior C Developer to join its team.
• The organization has been on the market since 2009, and its products are used by thousands of companies around the world.
• You will be working on the fastest-growing product, which provides automated kernel security updates without reboots for the most popular Linux distributions.
• This is a fully remote position with flexible hours, allowing you to plan your day and work from anywhere in the world.
• Your tasks will include collaborating on various open-source projects, such as Apache HTTPD, Python, OpenSSL, and more.
• You will backport security and bug fixes from newer upstream versions or develop patches from scratch.
• Contributing to upstream projects and creating reproducers and tests for vulnerabilities will also be part of your responsibilities.
• Additionally, you will automate routine processes such as monitoring CVEs, applying patches, and testing.

Requirements:

• You must have 5+ years of professional experience in C programming.
• Excellent GNU/Linux operating system and shell scripting skills are required.
• A strong ability to work with various build systems, including autotools, make, and cmake, is necessary.
• Proficiency in Russian at C1 level and English at B1 level is required.
• Experience with git-based development processes will be a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Perl, or similar is advantageous.
• Experience in searching for vulnerabilities, investigating abnormal software operation, and acting as a hacker, investigating closed and/or familiar systems will be beneficial.
