Remote Senior C Developer (Remote)

Description:

• An international company specializing in the development of modern operating systems for hosting providers is seeking a Senior C Developer.
• The organization has been operating since 2009 and its products are used by thousands of companies worldwide.
• You will work on the fastest-growing product, providing automated kernel security updates without rebooting for the most popular Linux distributions.
• This is a fully remote company with a flexible work schedule, allowing you to plan your day and work from anywhere in the world.
• Your responsibilities will include participating in various open-source projects, including Apache HTTPD, Python, and OpenSSL.
• You will backport security and bug fixes from new upstream versions or develop fixes from scratch.
• You will participate in upstream projects and create reproductions and tests for vulnerabilities.
• You will automate routine processes such as monitoring CVEs, applying patches, and testing.

Requirements:

• You must have 5+ years of professional programming experience in C.
• Excellent skills in the GNU/Linux operating system and shell scripting are required.
• You should have strong experience with various build systems, including autotools, make, and cmake.
• Proficiency in Russian at C1 level and English at B1 level is necessary.
• Experience with git-based development processes is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or similar is advantageous.
• Experience in vulnerability discovery, investigating abnormal software behavior, and working as a hacker, as well as familiarity with closed and/or known systems, is a plus.
