Remote Senior C++ Engineer

Description:

• Deep Lake is a database for AI designed to organize complex unstructured data and retrieve knowledge with AI.
• It is powered by a unique storage format optimized for deep-learning and Large Language Model (LLM) based applications.
• The database simplifies the deployment of enterprise-grade LLM-based products by offering storage for all data types such as embeddings, audio, text, videos, images, pdfs, annotations, etc.
• It provides querying and vector search capabilities, data streaming while training models at scale, data versioning, lineage for all workloads, and integrations with popular tools.
• Deep Lake works with data of any size, is serverless, and enables storing all data in one place.
• The Senior C++ Engineer will be responsible for developing distributed databases for AI/ML applications to help data scientists build AI products faster by replacing existing complex data infrastructure with an interactive database designed for deep learning.

Requirements:

• Strong track record of delivering distributed computing systems and/or distributed deep learning systems.
• 8+ years of experience in programming on C++ with knowledge of Modern C++ (C++20).
• Experience in performance-critical codebase, data structures/algorithms, concurrency/multithreading.
• Proficiency in working with libraries like STL, boost, AWS SDK, OpenGL.
• Experience with multiple environments like wasm/emscripten, python/pybind.
• Familiarity with implementing acceleration hardware software such as GPUs, DPUs, TPUs, and understanding of deep learning frameworks.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science or related field, preferably PhD in distributed systems.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with native or fluent English proficiency.
