Remote Senior C++ Engineer (PC & Mobile)

Description:

• Demiurge Studios is seeking a Senior C++ Engineer to join their remote team.
• The role involves collaborating with clients to understand and define game features and system requirements.
• Responsibilities include implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining source code.
• The engineer will review the work of other engineers and provide constructive guidance in a collaborative environment.
• Ongoing support will be provided to artists and designers.
• The engineer is expected to deliver high-quality, functional systems on time and to specification.
• The position requires making educated trade-offs among scope, quality, and pace.
• The engineer will author technical design documents specifying development plans.
• Time estimates and development plans for feature development will be provided.
• Creative thinking and proactive problem-solving for blocking issues are essential.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Professional experience in C++ and JavaScript is required.
• Experience with proprietary game engines is necessary.
• Strong programming and software architecture skills are essential.
• Experience in developing software using agile methodologies is required.
• Candidates should demonstrate the ability to maintain code quality through software engineering practices.
• The ability to achieve development goals with minimal supervision is necessary.
• A BS or higher in Computer Science or a similar discipline, or equivalent experience, is required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are mandatory.
