Remote Senior Civil Engineer (CCR & Solid Waste Practice)

Description:

• AECOM is seeking a motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join the Environmental Business Line in Franklin, TN, working on projects within a diverse culture and having access to exceptional training and career development opportunities.
• The role involves supporting the design of solid waste disposal facilities, earthen dams, and other civil, geotechnical, and remediation projects, with a preference for experience in Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) impoundments or landfills.
• Responsibilities include serving as a lead directing engineer on mid- to large-size projects, providing technical input, presenting solutions to clients, participating in proposal development, and leading CCR ash basin closure and landfill design projects.
• The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining client relationships, developing new clients, serving as a project manager, attending client meetings, and participating in national organizations on behalf of AECOM.

Requirements:

• BA/BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering + 10 years of related experience or equivalent
• Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain through comity
• Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred
• 11+ years of progressive engineering experience in Civil design, CCR, or Geotechnical Engineering related to solid waste disposal
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with industry standard computer software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and Hydrologic/Hydraulic models
• Project Management experience for utility or industrial clients
• Experience with Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) impoundments or landfills
