Description:
As a Senior Clinical Data Analyst, you will create and manage the data assets provided by 3Aware to ensure the safety and efficacy of medical devices used for patient care.
You will be responsible for managing and refining large volumes of structured and unstructured clinical data and clinical vocabulary/terminology mapping.
Your tasks will include data cleansing, de-identification, and normalization operations, such as natural language processing (NLP), while ensuring data integrity and quality.
You will utilize business intelligence, query, analytic, and statistical software to interpret and transform data.
Coordination with data suppliers and customers will be necessary to establish robust data operations processes.
You will establish processes for the exchange and management of patient care and medical device data, including defining data standards and secure transport mechanisms.
Your role will involve filtering and cleaning data to meet HIPAA “safe harbor” de-identification standards and preparing data for current and future use cases.
Data analysis will include statistical aggregation, terminology mapping, syntactic and semantic normalization, and other advanced analytics algorithms.
You will collaborate with software developers to plan and construct the architecture of model deployment.
Summarizing and communicating results to both internal and external stakeholders will be essential, including managing the review and approval process for delivering data assets.
You will contribute to the company’s knowledge of data mining and visualization best practices.
Requirements:
A four-year degree or equivalent work experience is required.
You must have 5+ years of experience as a data analyst or in a similar role within a healthcare or research setting.
Expertise in healthcare data terminology and interoperability domains, such as EHR/EMR data standards and workflows, HL7, OMOP, SNOMED, RxNorm, ICD-10, and CPT4, is necessary.
A strong understanding of relational databases and data warehouses is required.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and R or equivalent is mandatory.
Experience with data analytics software, such as Snowflake and Looker, is required.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are essential.
