Remote Senior Clojure Developer

• They are seeking a Senior Clojure Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance applications using Clojure.
• The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to build and refine innovative solutions.
• Responsibilities include providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• The developer will contribute to the continuous improvement of system reliability, security, and performance in alignment with business goals.
• Key job duties include architecting, designing, and implementing distributed applications and services, collaborating with stakeholders, leading and mentoring junior developers, optimizing existing systems, implementing automated testing strategies, integrating with third-party APIs, resolving production issues, and staying current on functional programming best practices.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3-4 years focused on Clojure development is required.
• A strong understanding of functional programming principles, concurrency, and Clojure best practices is essential.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architectures and RESTful APIs is necessary.
• Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines is required.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is expected.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are mandatory.
• Recommended qualifications include experience with databases and data stores like PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or Redis, knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
• A background in event-driven architectures (Kafka or RabbitMQ) is also recommended.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with DevOps practices, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or continuous delivery is advantageous.
