Description:
66degrees is seeking a senior contractor for a 6-month remote assignment with the potential for permanent conversion.
The role involves identifying customer priorities, technical objections, and design strategies within the Google ecosystem to drive business growth and resolve blockers.
Responsibilities include leading requirements gathering, project scoping, solution design, problem-solving, and architecture diagramming.
The candidate will provide domain expertise in public cloud and enterprise technology, offering recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure for clients.
The position requires leading planning, status, and standup meetings.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is required; experience with AWS and Azure is desirable.
At least 2 years of experience as a GCP Architect is necessary.
Extensive experience in security, networking, and identity management within cloud environments is required.
The candidate must be skilled in implementing hybrid connectivity using VPN or Cloud Interconnect.
Proficiency in designing and managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and roles in GCP is essential.
Knowledge of network architecture, including VPC design, subnetting, and firewall rules, is required, along with experience in identity federation and single sign-on (SSO) solutions.
The candidate should have experience in guiding, building, architecting, designing, and implementing GCP Infrastructure while adhering to best practices.
Extensive experience with security (zero trust) and networking in cloud environments is necessary.
The ability to advise and implement CI/CD practices using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Cloud Build, and Cloud Deploy, as well as concepts like GitOps and GitFlow, is required.
Experience with structured Cloud Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premises-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps is essential.
The candidate should possess knowledge of technology solutions and the ability to learn emerging technologies in the Cloud/IT space.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to engage and influence audiences are necessary.
Proven ability to train and transfer knowledge on GCP best practices, tools, and technologies is required.
Excellent organizational skills and customer-facing communication are essential.
Proficiency in documentation and knowledge transfer using remote meetings, written documents, and technical diagrams is required.
Experience in implementing hybrid connectivity using VPN or Cloud Interconnect is a plus.
A background in professional services or consulting is preferred.
